Still Pushing for Completion

Supply Chain & Covid Issues have delayed the completion of Meadowlark Subdivision this summer…

We hope that everyone had a great Independence Day weekend and celebration. We had a good vacation until both Deb and I developed Covid while we were visiting in Michigan and Minnesota. It took a while to recover, then supply chain and delivery issues hit us.

There are longer than expected delays for contractors, as well. We have been waiting for our well driller for months now and he says, “two weeks.” So, I called another outfit and they said, “Maybe this fall.” I think I’ll wait for the first guy.

Asphalt for the road apron is soon as well – we are a ‘fit-it-in’ job.

We have trenched and installed irrigation pipe for the lots furthest away from the mainline. Some grading of the road has taken place and we are working to clean up some of the old farm equipment from our site. Our new flow meter for irrigation water has been ordered and is soon to be installed.

Haying continues through the growing season until our water is turned off. The growing season has been good and most of the lots still have alfalfa hay on them.

We still have verbal commitments from local folks for a few lots but there will be more to be sold. Please sign in to keep abreast of our progress and feel free to call or email if you have questions!
